It is our responsibility to help them achieve their potential and develop them further: starting with basic company training and extending to a diverse range of educational and further training options. An integral part of our human resources work is to present perspectives to our staff and assist them in achieving their goals. This also allows us to be able to meet our demand for skilled workers using individuals from within our own ranks.
At a level of 9.4%, our trainees and apprentices represent a large proportion of our workforce. Our trainees are regularly recognized as the best of their year in the guild and in this way start with the most firmly-grounded training in their career lives. As an important training institution in the region we assume a great deal of responsibility: A total of 7 future-oriented occupations can be learned with us. This includes training to become Industrial Clerks (m/f/d), Chemists (m/f/d), Skilled Production Worker Chemistry (m/f/d), Laboratory Chemistry (m/f/d), Electronics Technicians for Industrial Engineering (m/f/d), Industrial Mechanic (m/f/d), and Management Assistant for Digitalization Management (m/f/d). In addition, we also offer the opportunity to work with us on bachelor's and master's dissertation projects.
We believe firmly in the family as a success factor! We support the harmonization of career and family life. We offer our employees attractive and flexible part-time models that also allow our staff to fulfill their duties and responsibilities in the home. In addition, Nabaltec employees can even take up part-time management positions. Together with the local Alliance for the Family in Schwandorf we develop ideas and measures to improve harmonization between family and career. We are also a member of the nationwide network "Success Factor Family" as well as the "Family Pact of Bavaria", a network of the Bavarian state ministries.
Our success is closely linked to the health and well-being of our employees. The company health management system of Nabaltec serves to strengthen and promote the health and performance of the entire workforce. For this purpose we offer special health days, a free sports program for our apprentices, mediation offers, a run-ABC, running events and much, much more.
Our goal is to operate equipment and processes in such a way that it does not endanger human health or the environment. For Nabaltec, safety is an absolute priority. In order to reinforce the safety-conscious behavior of all employees, we already introduced in Schwandorf an occupational health and safety management system in 2007. We also implement these demanding safety standards at our U.S. production facilities at Corpus Christi, Texas and Chattanooga, Tennessee.
