Nabaltec AG: After nine months, 2010 revenues already 11.9% higher than in
all of 2009

- Revenues up 54.0% from January to September 2010, to EUR 81.8 million;
- Revenues in the third quarter of 2010 were the second-highest in the
company's history, EUR 28.4 million;
- EBIT of EUR 5.2 million in the first nine months of 2010;
- 2010 forecast confirmed: revenues of EUR 100-108 million and EBIT over
EUR 6 million.

Schwandorf, 23 November 2010 - Nabaltec AG continued its clear uptrend in
the third quarter of 2010: both revenues and earnings were up significantly
from the year before, as they were in the first and second quarters as
well. Nabaltec's revenues in the third quarter, EUR 28.4 million, were the
second-highest quarterly revenues in the company's history, second only to
last quarter's record. Revenues from July to September were up 42.0% from
the year before and revenues in the first nine months of the year were EUR
81.8 million, up 54.0%. 'We will post record-high revenues in 2010. Just
nine months into the year, our revenues are already 11.9% higher than in
all of 2009,' said Gerhard Witzany, member of the Nabaltec AG Management
Board.

There was also a very clear improvement on the earnings side from January
to September 2010: Nabaltec's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation
and amortization (EBITDA) were up EUR 3.1 million from the year before, to
EUR 11.0 million, for an EBITDA margin (EBITDA as a percentage of total
performance) of 13.4%. Nabaltec's EBITDA in the third quarter of 2010 were
EUR 3.7 million, up from EUR 2.0 million in the third quarter of last year.
The Group's earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) were EUR 5.2 million
after the first nine months of 2010, for a margin (EBIT as a percentage of
total performance) of 6.3%. In the third quarter of 2010 alone, Nabaltec
posted an EBIT of EUR 1.8 million and an EBIT margin of 6.1%. Consolidated
result after-taxes was EUR 0.8 million in the third quarter, and EUR 1.4
million in the first nine months of the year.

Both of Nabaltec AG's two business divisions continued their sustained and
dynamic growth in the first nine months of the year. Revenues in the
'Functional Fillers' business division grew from EUR 36.7 million to EUR
54.8 million (up 49.3% from the year before), while revenues in the
'Technical Ceramics' business division grew from EUR 16.4 million to EUR
27.0 million, up 64.6%. With EUR 9.8 million in revenues in the third
quarter of 2010, third-quarter revenues in this business division were
actually higher than in the record-breaking second quarter.

Nabaltec's success has been on a global scale: EUR 56.4 million, or 68.9%
of the Group's revenues in the first nine months of 2010 were earned in
international markets. The 'Functional Fillers' business division is
particularly export-oriented, with an export share of 83.2%. Business in
the US has been especially strong, with revenues up around 112% over the
year before, and Nabaltec's US subsidiary, Nashtec, is at the limits of its
production capacity.

In the first nine months of the year, Nabaltec was also able to begin
generating revenues from its newly developed boehmite business. About one
year after its introduction, this product solution has given the company a
unique position in the world market. Boehmite is used as a base material in
catalysis, especially in petrochemistry, and is also used increasingly as a
halogen-free flame retardant in the electronics industry all over the
world, particularly by electronics companies in Korea and Japan. With the
new boehmite production plant in Schwandorf, which went online as planned
in October 2010, it will now be possible to significantly increase sales
and revenues in this high-margin product segment.

The company will post record-high revenues in 2010, and both business
divisions are expected to report sustained growth in the fourth quarter of
2010. The goal continues to be increasing revenues to EUR 100-108 million
for 2010 as a whole, and Nabaltec will likely finish towards the upper edge
of this range. In terms of earnings, Nabaltec expects an operating profit
(EBIT) of over EUR 6 million for 2010 as a whole. Accordingly, net earnings
shall be back in the black for 2010.

About Nabaltec AG
Nabaltec AG, with registered office in Schwandorf, a chemicals business
which has received multiple awards for innovativeness, manufactures,
develops and distributes highly specialized products based on aluminum
hydroxide ('ATH') and aluminum oxide, as well as other raw materials, on an
industrial scale through its 'Functional Fillers' and 'Technical Ceramics'
divisions. The company's product range includes halogen-free flame
retardant fillers and eco-friendly additives for the plastics industry.
Flame retardant fillers are used e.g. in cables in tunnels, airports,
high-rise buildings and electronic devices, while additives replace
stabilizers containing heavy metals in PVC processing. Nabaltec also
produces base materials for use in technical ceramics, the refractory
industry and catalysis. Unlike halogenated flame retardant fillers, the
products manufactured by the company's 'Functional Fillers' division
contain no hazardous substances and do not require separate disposal.
Rather, the company's flame retardant fillers actually decrease the
development of fumes hazardous to human health and the environment in the
event of fire. Nabaltec maintains production sites in Germany and the US
and plans to continue to consolidate its market position by expanding
capacity, further optimizing processes and quality and making strategic
extensions to its product range. On the strength of its specialty products,
the company strives to attain the market leadership in each
segment.
