Boehmite in separator film coatings convinces by conveying high level of component reliability. The filler reduces the risk of short-circuiting in lithium-ion batteries to a minimum, and this in turn increases safety for the consumer.

The high temperature stability allows boehmite to be used in demanding applications for technical components in the automotive or electronics industry.

The growing environmental awareness, driven also by legal requirements, has created a demand for environmentally friendly solutions. Our halogen-free fillers with boehmite are therefore steadily replacing halogen-containing flame-retardant fillers.

In combination with phosphorus- and nitrogen-containing systems, boehmite promotes processing in extrusion or injection molding processes. This allows the throughput rates to be increased and the cycle times to be reduced.

Like all our Nabaltec products, our boehmite also contains no harmful substances. The use of the filler is therefore harmless. Also, any separate or special disposal measures are no longer necessary.
